Students entering the Primary flight program will follow one of two curriculum paths:
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Aviation Technology.
This program is designed for students who have not yet earned a degree. Curriculum includes general education and aviation course work in
addition to flight training. Students with comparable course work from other
colleges or universities are generally able to receive transfer
credit for general education courses such as technical writing, public
speaking, physics, and applied math. Previous colleges/universities msut be accredited. The curriculum includes specific
aviation requirements which include ground schools, CRJ systems and
weather. All aviation courses must be taken at San Juan College.
Certificate in Aviation Technology. This option, newly adopted by San Juan College, allows the student with previously earned degrees, Associate or Bachelor, to forego the general education requirements. Curriculum will include only the aviation requirements. Students always have the option to take general education classes at SJC if they wish to do so.
